About Me

IMG_7377.HEIC

Hi, welcome to the Map of Cole!

My name is Cole Emerine and I'm from Avon, OH. Prior to coming to the University of Florida, I had barely even been outside of the country. But through my travels I have developed skills and gained new cultural understandings. I graduate in December 2025 with my Bachelors of Science with a double major in Microbiology and Computer Science. I have a minor in Spanish and Business Administration as well. Now as I wrap of my undergraduate years, I have traveled to 17 different countries and done 2 separate study abroad programs. As I move into the tech and life science consulting field post graduation, I hope to continue to develop intercultural skills and potentially return to school for a Master's in International Business one day. I love getting to explore new countries and meet new people from other cultures along the way. From hostel hopping and spontaneous day excursions I aim to find adrenaline and unique human interactions throughout my travels.

In this e-Portfolio you will find examples of the skills and global experiences I have had throughout my 4 years here at UF. Starting off in my first summer at UF where I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain for 10 weeks at la Universidad de Nebrija. Throughout that summer, I made many new friends and traveled all around Europe. Fast forward to my 4th year fall and I again was blessed with the chance to study in Sydney, Australia for 5.5 months at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).  Here I traveled all around south east Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. I'm excited to share all of my experiences and lessons learned with you all!

Once I graduate and have 5 months off before starting work, I hope to finally go through all of my drone, go pro and other footage from all of my travels, feel free to follow along.
